A big cryptocurrencies trading place, Kraken, still works with Monero (XMR). Kraken is based in USA and somehow has still not been hit by domestic authorities.
But now they stop XMR for EEA customers:

so no longer possible to buy XMR with a bank card of an EEA country.
XMR is nice because impossible to very hard to track, contrary to BTC (Bitcoin) or ETH (Ethereum).
That said one can buy BTC and swap for XMR, make a first transaction to break the path and use as usual.
