I fly space available because I am an American Airlines Employee. The most resonable route is from LAX-IST-MOW. It is difficult to show paid ticket reservations because of space availalbe situation meaning I may not be able to fly on a given fight but must wait for another opportunity. I am able to show flight numbers etc through my preferred carrier - Turkish Airlines and can provide evidence of a payment but not a seat assignment? _ Thank you Lou

You don't need plane tickets to apply for a Russian visa, so there is no problem. If you are a US citizen you can apply for a 3-year visa:

Irna thank you for your assistance. When filling out the online visa form from 3 years visa the Russian consolate form asks me for date of entry, where I plan to stay, and reference to Airline tickets. Am I filling out the incorrect form.

I was wondering if I put in bogus information that they will check reservations etc. I am thinking that I can always cancel the reservations once made. I am totallyc confused and do not need issues of course.
