Sending money to Russia

How can I send money to a loved one now in February 2026? I Have various russian bank accounts myself - all with about 200 roubles in them ; Sberbank, Tinkoff, and now Raiffeisen. I used to be able to transfer to my Raiffeisen account via Profee, but now that meghod is no longer available. This week I downloaded the Bybit app hoping to sell usdt on the p2p platform for roubles. But when I tried, although the platform supports sellers of roubles, the app said that this currency was not supported by my ip provider in my country. I tried clearing the app's cashe and logging on through a vpn, but the answer was always the same; " your country's ip provider foes not support this (roubles) currency.
Does anyone know a way around this, or know of a successful alternative?

If you are using Bybit you need your loved one in Russia to download and set up an account. I have now run from Russia to Georgia now due to this very issue and add the impossibility of the VPN block in my mind its impossible for a foreigner to live inside Russia.

phoebe Thank you Phobe, - I still dont quite get it.... how will they be able to recieve money if they set up a Bybit account in Russia?

You will send money from your own Crypto Exchange to your loved ones Bybit Account normally USDT. They will then sell it using P2P in which another user will convert to RUB and send direct to her registered card on Bybit. A warning though.....the Russian Government controls most of the banks and frowns upon using Crypto via P2P, this has led to accounts being blocked and suspended in the last 6 months. I'm afraid there is little choice though and using Crypto is the only viable reasonable option for foreigners to send money into Russia.

phoebe How else do you want to avoid having your bank account shutdown? Thats what the small amount of expats are doing now, just sending usdt and getting cash by hand.
