Hi! I'm a UK citizen and passport holder travelling to Russia next month to visit family. I have booked my flights and have just used the I-Visa service to get an immediate Letter of Invitation as my family have to wait until end of March to get an Invitation processed in Russia. I will then apply for much simpler Tourist Visas via my nearest Consulate next week. My questions are:
- Will a paper copy of the On Line Invitation be sufficient for my Visa Application as I -Visa have said in their email confirmation that some Russian Consulates want an original with an original signature and stamp? I don't have enough time to wait for an original through the post as I travel in a month's time!
- I put my family's address on the Invitation letter but we may rent an apartment at a later date. Is that OK or do I need to change my location address on my Invitation letter.
- I'm really worried about the Visa Process! Is it straightforward? I am not good with completing forms. I need the Visa application form, our passports, new passport photos and the Invitation. Is that all? I read that UK Citizens don't need to supply Travel Insurance or bank statements, but we must submit to biometric fingerprinting. Do I need anything else?? I will be travelling from another city to the Visa Centre and would hate to forget something!
- My family have booked my flight from Istanbul to Russia due to high costs and diffulties using UK cards to make payments. I have copies of my airline tickets. Will copies be sufficient and allow me to fly? I suppose its up to the Airline isnt it. I am flying with IRAero.
Sorry for the long post but appreciate any reply to alleviate my anxiety!
Thanks
