# Buying Aetoflot ticket.

I was recently trying to buy a domestic Aeroflot flight using Chinese website WeChat. I could find a flight and enter all my details, but when it came to pay a message said something like “only available for Russian citizens”.  
Was this because I was using Chinese website?  
Can I buy Aeroflot tickets when in Russia, with cash or Mir card with no problems?

I have purchased Aeroflot tickets at Russian Airports with cash. And have only had to wait ~4 hours for the flight to leave.

Make sure you go to the “Aeroflot” ticket office (it will be cheaper). And it helps to have a known flight and time picked out before you start talking to them, because sometimes they dont understand what you want an then you will misinterpret their “no” answer.

I was also experiencing issues purchasing Aeroflot tickets on Aviasales.The cheapest category of ticket is for Russian citizens only. Try moving up a class within the economy class (from most basic to next economy choice available.) It worked for me.
