# Estonia Narva crossing - risk of closing border and alternative return?

There are rumors that Estonia will close the land border crossing to Russia as Finland has done. If we cross from Narva to St Petersburg and then the border is closed, would exceptions be made, or would we have to find another way out of Russia?

@kyrie Hi,

At the moment there is no news about it. The truth is that the closure of the Finnish border with Russia is until December 13, so it may open on December 14. We’ll see what happens.
