# Exchanging currency in Moscow

Hello, just wondering is it possible to exchange my KZT in Moscow when I land or do they only accept Euros and US dollars?

I’ve exchanged a lot of UD dollars for Rubles in the last year. Most banks and currency exchange places will take USD, but I still encountered problems: Most places will reject any USD paper money that has anything written on it or has a slight tear. And other places will have limits on how much they exchange (so you might have to visit a few exchange places)

@Bill I had problems also with my US 100 dollar bills. I changed them all to euros before my next trip and no more problems.

Changing dollars is now an even bigger problem here in Russia, unless they are brand new many places will not touch them.
