@Joporo
Hi Joporo. Not sure why, but the forum’s notification system has only pinged me today to show that you had replied to my post (it says in the forum itself that you posted your reply 10 days ago), so apologies for not seeing your message immediately.

I would be happy to get in touch, so let me know if you are still interested in this. I don’t really want to post contact details publicly on this forum and I don’t see a system for private messaging. But maybe making contact is something Irena could help us with if we both write to her? (Unless you have a better idea?)

Revolut seems to be the only way to pay with SendNOW. However any attempt to make a payment through Revolut results in it being flagged as a suspicious transaction and a risk to your money.

The resulting security checks are intrusive and frankly insulting !

Right now SendNOW is off the menu, for me at least. Be warned !

Anyone with similar experience please share. Alternatively any other way of sending money that does not include Revolut would be appreciated.

I’ve been using SendNow for a long time and yeah it feels like it’s constantly switching from thing to thing, the latest option I was using from there was alchemy pay and they blocked my account due to high risk in a transaction. After getting support for a day I’m waiting for the account to be reviewed and know what to do to help my partner. Is there anyway to send money to Russia right now? Something that has lasted for at least a few months now? My partner is having money issues like a lot of people and I want to help them out, so much of this feels out of control.

I’ve seen people say making a Armenian bank account, putting money from my bank and using the Armenian abnl to make it work, is it still a thing possible to do?

I’ve got a small update from Alchemy Pay while they are reviewing my account, they’ve advised that there’s no partnership between them and Sendnow, and have asked for me to show the process I’ve done before to make this work on Sendnow.
I’ll keep everyone updated here since it seems other people have relied on that app like myself. If something bad happens I can only hope its something I can back up from with what I already have, but my partner is still under financial issues, I don’t know for how long they can keep going.

From a Telegram channel…

"We live in the EU and have family in Russia.
It was always very hard to send money to them.
Now we found out that VTB bank has found a way to “transfer” money to your VTB account by Visa card (Only Visa works now).
They have created a webshop where you can buy “products” which actually are rubles to be send to your VTB account and been paid by your Visa card.
We tried it last week and within about 10 minutes of the “purchase” the money was on our VTB account.

Go to your VTB account in your app.
Go to payments and there you will find international payments (bottom right)
There you will find the way to do this.

And again: only with a VTB account and a Visa card."

Depending on the exchange rate on the day of “purchase” - it is about a 9% fee charged.

Last update from Alchemy Pay: they’ve blocked my account for obvious reasons but not downright saying the word “sanctions”. I do not know what’s going to happen to me these next months, but if no other safe legal way appear that actually function for longer then a few months then my partner is screwed.
I see the post above me but even still I doubt that’ll work for more then a few months, all of this situation makes it so that legal transfers are basically impossible, crypto or not.
I was capable of helping them with Volet+Swapcoin this month but the issue is the same, technically speaking I might get screwed in the future for all this. I just wanted to help

Looks like only crypto is working from now on. I had to adapt quickly in the morning. I went through everything in the past 2 years. Korona, Sendnow, then using Volet Eur/Usd, but Volet is not an option anymore. It is totally delisted from Bestchange. I have asked one of the exchange services what happened, and they said they stopped working with Volet due to security risks. So it looks the only working option now is to buy crypto, and exchange that. I have stopped using Sendnow totally since they use more or less the same method with horrible fees.

@Freeeak

The only other option would be using the golden crown/korona pay from somewhere in Central Asia or Georgia Armenia or Azerbaijan, maybe Cyprus or Israel.

Someone mentioned here that it worked for them but im not sure it still does given how more banks are complying with secondary sanctions, any updates on that here?

Hallo zusammen,

wer hat im August oder September 2026 selbst erfolgreich Geld aus Deutschland nach Russland gesendet?

Mich interessieren folgende Angaben:

Vielen Dank!

Yesterday I attempted to add money to my ЮMoney/YooMoney Wallet using my Revolut card as the source of funds. I tried several times but each time, although the YooMoney app said the transaction was successful, the money didn’t appear in my wallet and about 10-15 minutes later I received a notification from Revolut advised the payment had been reverted and returned to my Revolut balance. I am currently in Russia visiting my girlfriend, but live in the UK. I contacted YooMoney support who looked into it for me, and they sent me an email this morning advising that I could not use a foreign card to top up my wallet. It had been working fine up to this point. I think it is possible to top up the wallet using cash at an ATM. Hopefully a temporary glitch, but I worry that it might be the latest victim of the Western sanctions.

@ChrisM An update to my post. I returned to London tonight and just tried topping up my YooMoney wallet with $15 as a test. The payment went through. So either this was a temporary glitch or there is still an issue with topping up the wallet with Revolut while physically in Russia. There are other options to add money to the YooMoney wallet in any case.

zolotaya korona (golden crown)

I spoke to a merchant in early nov 2026 who told me this method is still viable if the card or bank account used to pay is issued from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia.

so this means if you happen to visit one of these countries before Russia, you can potentially ask the locals there to pay on your behalf, then you reimburse them in local currency cash

just make sure you check the country is still valid and did not back out due to secondary pressure for sanctions, before pursuing this plan

@Jerz Regarding crypto, I don’t know about this side of things as I have no experience in using it. However I usually top up my wallet with US $ and it is converted to Russian Rubles in the wallet.
