Download Yandex app prior to travel!  
Yandex is the Russian equivalent of google maps and works like a charm except when it doesn’t. In some places it glitches especially if there are road works. But when it works well it is incredible and super helpful. I found all kinds of vintage shops, flea markets and second hand stores all over Moscow which I explored thanks to Yandex! Won’t save places unless you log in and create an account which I recommend because if the app goes off half way to a location- the same search results do not show up!
