I’m just curious about the required picture that needs to be glued to the application. Many guide’s say to use photographic paper, but would a recent coloured passport photo on normal paper be fine for the application? If not – why is a coloured photo on normal printer paper not alright?

This don’t make much sense to me. Would rather print the photo in colour instead of paying for another passport photo to be taken (I already have a recent photo used in another visa application), or go to a special print shop just so that it can be printed on the photography paper. Perhaps it might have something to do with the glue and the paper material, but that really shouldn’t be an issue.

@Rountin32 A recent passport photo is all that is required. However if you have applied previously then use a newer more recent photo, they don’t like photos you have used in previous applications.

@phoebe Thank you for response – but do the recent passport photo **_need_** to be printed using photographic paper? Or will normal A4 (un-coated wood pulp) paper be acceptable?

This is specific, but I’m not taking any chances. Photographic paper is coated with material, and can have glossy type finish. My concern is related to current situation, as I will have to plan in advance to get it printed on this type of paper.
