I Have just attempted to set up an account with Advcash but immediately come up against a block. There is no option to select a UK passport in the ID verification process. Looks like the US is excluded as well.

@Irena OMG Im about ready to admit defeat. my government really doesnt want me to travel to Russia 
I cannot get the tourist voucher or invitation as I cannot make any sort of booking or payment.
I thought you needed a hostel/hotel reservation as well using this?
@SeanFarley1964 It is not necessary hote reservation, you can put any hotel at random and then book another or the same one.
In any case, on the Russian booking platform Zenhotels you can book accommodation with your UK card (some accommodation can also be booked without a card). This article explains:

thx for the info, I used Advcash to send money to a mir card, there are ID and card verification at certain points, but eventually completed it (with customer support: very helpful) transfer was almost instant. I will use this one in future
sendnomad has gone dark, google playstore has removed its mobile app, plus there are multiple negative reviews on trustpilot
Binance is no longer trading in russia, but it has been taken over via CommEX
just tried to make an account with Advcash, they do not do accounts with USA. No luck there.
