How to send money to Russia

@phoebe Of course you cannot send money from UK to sanctioned banks! That goes without saying. Currently you can send from UK direct to Raffaisen and Ozon plus a few others. I must have reiterated this on several occasions to you. I currently live in Russia and am transferring from a UK account on a daily basis, like to think I know what I an talking about.

you can not send directly, but in 2-steps. Most banks ARE sanctioned, that’s what I was stressing. The major ones are: Sberbank, VTB, etc. The few that are not may be sanctioned some day. Raffeisen is a minor bank.
As I said I have bank account in Russia where I am on a regular basis since long and I transfer money to my russian bank every month.
Actually the 2-steps and the EU-US sanctions suits me well, because it breaks traceability.

“sanction” means in fact that now Russia lives in another ecosystem. It’s similar to different banking system in different countries in Europe before the mix of EU+SWIFT+VISA/Master, ie. in the 80’s to 90’s.
It’s not only Russia, China uses UnionPay own system, India uses RuPay.

@antoniob Thanks again antoniob

Can you please help with one last question.

Do you buy use a UK bank to buy Ton on Telegram? If you do can you please tell us which bank.

Or if not then please give us an idea of which banks would work.

I had several bank cards declined for using an exchange so I don’t want my banks to freeze my accounts.

So I am trying to find a UK bank that will allow me to buy Ton on Telegram.

Thanks again for any help

Bob

Have been using Profee to send money but have just found out in the last 48 hours it no longer works.

Hello wonder if someone can help me with sending money to Russian I am in uk and was using Korona but that no longer works pro fee is not suitable

Hello!

I’ve updated the article explaining the methods that still works and a step by step guide on how to send money to Russia using your credit card and cryptocurrencies:

Thanks a lot for this updated info Irene, some great new tips in this ever changing sector.

@Irena
Persoonlijk ervaring

I have an Account with Binance and i have xferred money Aud converted via Usdt for ages. It works well, but there is a fee

@Tatiana Read this updated article (option 1: cryptocurrencies):

@Irena Any updates as to how things are working now?

I tried to sign up with profee and says its no longer available for transfers to Russia, can anyone confirm this?

Profee working this morning from UK and they now have option to send to a non sanctioned Russian Bank direct by bank transfer at a much better rate.

@phoebe which banks are on the list?

Raffaisen and Ozon and a few other minor ones

@phoebe interesting, which ones open accounts easily for foreigners?

Not sure myself on that one, I use my Russian wifes accounts to transfer to. Dont have anything in my name here.

Does anybody has recent experience with transfering money to Russia using VOLET from any EU country? Has anything changed since Irena´s page from June? I would like to know if its reliable to send from Europe Volet´s account to Russian Volet´s account.

@vladi88 I’d also like to know if it is still operable

@Irena Hi, I just read this article. I have a question regarding one of the steps from Bybit, when selecting a payment method at the peer-to-peer platform. (Which needs to be in name of your family member) it brings you back to your own profile, to add a payment method, but my own identity is already locked. So how were you able to enter this information? Thank you
