hi i have been to Moscow 4 times since 2021 and i have never registered that i know of staying in hotel and private rented apartments off avito and i have become friendly shall we say with an apartment owner who when i made my next booking manual locked the date for me on avito and she is not aware of the registration as i have been on tourist visa for 5 day 9 days and 14 days and my next trip is 15 days do i have to be registered by her
I’ve always assumed it was the responsibility of the renter to register you if they want to. It shouldn’t be your decision.
Most hotels seem to follow this registration process. A few times I have shown up a hotel without reservations and they registered me just the same as if I had made prior reservations.
