Can I enter Russia after the entry date noted on the visa? Conversely, can I depart Russia before the exit date noted on the visa?

Example 1:
What happens if the my flight is delayed by one day and I arrive in Russia the day after the entry dates noted on my visa?

Example 2:
What happens if my flight is canceled (or delayed) and I’m not able to leave on the exit date noted on my visa? Will I be allowed to exit Russia the day after the exit date noted on my visa?

Yes, you can enter (and leave Russia) within the period of your visa, it does not have to be the first day of your visa. For this reason, it is advisable to apply for a visa for a slightly longer period than expected.
